Richard's vision is for a more integrated and co-operative approach to NRM that reflects the true character of NW Tasmania, and to assist Cradle Coast NRM become the model of Regional NRM others aspire to.
Richard brings to NRM a background in financial management. Scottish by origin, he chose to live in North West Tasmania because he decided it was the best place to live in Australia (his only complaint is that no-one can understand his Glaswegian accent!).

Rosie provides administrative support to the Executive Officer and Committee.
She is also the first point of contact for the Cradle Coast NRM Team.

Greg is responsible for co-ordinating implementation of the Cradle Coast Regional Weed Management Strategy and can provide assistance with weed issues.
Greg says he is looking forward to making real progress on weeds over the next few years. “These are exciting times for weed management in the region.”

Anna has a strong background in sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices. She has worked and studied at TIAR Cradle Coast, and has also lectured in sustainable tourism at University of Tasmania Cradle Coast campus.
Anna is looking forward to supporting farmers and industry in the region, and is keen to further develop her networks in rural Tasmania.
A 100 acre cropping and grazing property near Forth keeps Anna busy during her free time.

Anna Wind
Coastal and Marine Facilitator
|
Anna supports existing Coastcare, Friends Of and community groups and helps with the establishment of new groups to protect, conserve and repair our coastal and marine environments. She assists groups to develop and implement projects and apply for funding.
Anna has more than ten years experience in looking after our coast.
She says the most rewarding aspect of her work is in engaging with a variety of stakeholders, getting down to the beach and making things happen. “Everyone loves the coast and has a connection with it. I really enjoy working with the community, land managers and industries in looking after our coast and its inhabitants.”

Sally provides support in the areas of biodiversity and rivers to community groups in the region. She also assists with school activities, and helps groups develop on-ground environmental projects and apply for funding.
Sally enjoys “being in touch with the community and being able to see the amazing work they are doing.”

you with technical specialists.

Alan Dickens has joined the NRM team as Regional Weeds Officer, working alongside Greg Taylor. Alan comes to the position with a wealth of experience in weed management, having worked at a number of positions in South Australia, including positions with Local Government (in Adelaide Hills) and Conservation Volunteers Australia. Alan has also just completed his Honours degree, and brings a range of skills to his new position. Alan’s first task in the Cradle Coast region is to coordinate the boneseed program, which aims to control all the region’s boneseed.

James' role is to undertake computer mapping (GIS) and Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and program Improvement (MERI) - ensuring we have systems in place to justify and report on the projects we undertake.
Having grown up in Victoria and worked in western Queensland, James is enjoying the beautiful green and hilly surrounds of NW Tasmania. When not at one of his jobs you may see him out on a pushie, bushwalking or riding a unicycle at circus classes.

Martin has just migrated south from Adelaide to take on the role increasing the number of South Australians in the NRM region to 3. Martin has a Diploma in Natural Resource Management and is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Park Management. During his years of study he has gained experience in bush care, where he has been working in and around Adelaide. Martin will follow up previous weed management efforts and also intends to improve mapping and surveying practices for environmental weed management on the West Coast.

Raelee is an experienced Communications Officer having moved from a similar role in far west Queensland. Raelee’s role focuses on ensuring that CCNRM communicates clearly and concisely with its stakeholders, providing relevant and up to date information on important NRM issues in the region. When not at work Raelee can often be found with her hiking boots on and camera in hand.
