Migratory Shorebirds
Important Sites
For migratory species, the population estimates for the Flyway - the migration route traveled by the birds - were the basis for identifying important shorebird sites in the Cradle Coast NRM region. Thresholds were set at the 1% and 0.1% of Flyway population estimates, in line with previous efforts to identify important shorebird sites in Tasmania.
