2006-07 surveys
Surveys of breeding resident shorebirds - conducted by Birds Tasmania during the 06/07 summer period - identified important sections of coastline for these birds. Breeding pairs were recorded, where either a nest or chicks were detected, or adults displayed breeding behaviour. The number of breeding pairs/territories/colonies were recorded for each beach surveyed, and are listed in table below.Locality |
