Understanding Healthy Waterways Educational Package

The Understanding Healthy Waterways Education Package for Primary Schools is now available. The package was developed by North West Waterwatch on behalf of Cradle Coast NRM. The Tasmanian Education Department were consulted in the development of the package and it is hoped that teachers will take the opportunity to use the package as part of their classroom education and activities.

Shorebird Monitoring Program

Cradle Coast NRM is developing a volunteer shorebird monitoring program.  We are planning to ascertain numbers of local resident shorebirds from Stanley to Narawntapu National Park and are calling on community volunteers to participate.  No previous bird watching experience is necessary.

Free workshops on shorebird identification and counts, as well as habitat and conservation of these shorebirds, will be held in February.  For further information please view the following documents:
