Tasmania
Together is the State’s 20 year social, environment and economic
plan to achieve the vision ‘Together we will make Tasmania
an icon for the rest of the world by creating a proud and confident
society where our people live in harmony and prosperity.’
The plan’s 24 goals and 212 benchmarks guide the development
of government policy, service delivery and budgets.
There are four goals under the section ‘Our Environment’
relevant to the management of our natural resources.
Goal 21: To value, protect and conserve our natural and
cultural heritage

Goal 22: To value, protect and maintain our natural diversity
Goal 23: To ensure there is a balance between environmental
protection and economic and social development
Goal 24: To ensure our natural resources are managed
in a sustainable way now and for future generations.
Each of the region's strategic plans include management actions that will work towards the realisation
of these goals.
